Bernard Mensah went away empty-handed again, this time around was sent off as Vitoria Guimaraes were eked out by Boavista by three goals to one.
The Ghana international lasted just over 47 minutes, before receiving two yellow cards – one on 31 minutes and the second in the 47th minutes.
At the time of his dismissal, Vitoria Guimaraes were leading by a goal to nil – thanks to Henrique Alex’s penalty midway through the first half.
But Boavista flipped the game on its head during the final half-hour, with Marek Cech, Michael Uchebo and substitute Jose Ze Manuel on target.
Mensah, who has not scored for his side since September last year, has assisted six times and has also contributed four goals to their campaign.
