Born Ato Addei Mensah; Gospel artiste, Pastor Ato is set to release his maiden 10-track album titled, ‘All ‘Ba Jesus’, which was motivated by his sudden closeness to God and His word.
According to him, “as I read the bible daily and continued to communicate with the Holy Spirit; I began to receive lyrics, melodies arrangements and scriptures which I wrote and recorded.”
“In less than a month, I had written close to 30 songs and that motivated my decision to visit a recording studio to put together this album with the first 10 songs, melodies arrangements and scriptures I had received from the High Spirit,” he added in a chitchat with AmaLarbieAfrica.
Outlining some challenges, Pastor Ato disclosed, “I did not get it easy at all but God; my all in all, helped me put together this album both physically and spiritually. Physically, He made available logistics, human resources, money, etc. and spiritually; God heard all my prayers concerning the provision for the album and completion of the album, which he made possible.”
Further indicating, “He put the devil and all my enemies to shame; He provided comfort when I was in distress and in the end, He pulled me through successfully with ‘All ‘Ba Jesus’. The word of God and my ‘bestie’; the Holy Spirit inspired me.”
Encouraging music enthusiasts, Pastor Ato said, “the Holy Ghost in a special way ministers Himself to every listener of my songs. I pray listeners experience the anointing, and miraculous power of the Holy Ghost. It is well with your soul.”
‘All ‘Ba Jesus’ was produced, recorded, mixed and mastered live at the Trinity Studios by Evans Tetteh Kornor, who played the keyboard and bass guitar for all the songs except for ‘When God speaks’.
The album was also technically supported by Charlie Keyz, pianist for ‘When God speaks’; Acoustic drum and percussion by Francis Kweku Osei; Lead acoustic guitar by Nana K. (Zeebi); Horns by Kuuku; Saxophone by Charles Sax; and background vocals by Ange Thorson and Thaddeus.
