Government says it is in the final stages of pushing for the passage of the Affirmative Action bill.
The bill when passed will require all sectors to reserve a percentage of their employment for women. It comes as the world marks International Women’s Day today.
The theme for this year’s celebration is Empowering Women-Empowering Humanity.
Speaking to Joynews, Minister for Gender Children and Social protection, Nana Oye Lithur said the Affirmative action bill, when finally passed into law will see more women in decision making positions.
