The Special Adviser to the President on Agriculture, Hajiya Baraka Sani, has described President Goodluck Jonathan as a trail-blazer in the business of governance. She noted that Jonathan’s administration has done a lot for the North despite the man-made security challenge facing the country.

Hajiya Sani said this in Kano, at the weekend, while addressing a coalition of interest groups drawn from various associations in Kano, which said they have endorsed Jonathan for re-election.

According to Sani, Jonathan has also proven his efficacy as a leader on the diplomatic front at the time the controversy about the outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease created a serious problem for Nigeria’s pilgrims last year. She stressed that Jonathan’s effort was what helped in resolving the impasse diplomatically.

Having prominent northerners at the helm of affairs in some strategic federal establishments also showed the president’s love for the north.

“For now, Nigeria can boast of having a leader who could be described as a standing pillar in ensuring the unity of the country,” she said.
