Ghana International, Christian Atsu trained on Friday to mark his return from the unspecified virus which kept him out of Everton’s three previous games.
Atsu has since failed to feature for the Toffees after coming on late against Young boys in Switzerland and impressing in his side’s home premier league game against Leicester City, but is expected to play a part in Everton’s Europa league game against Dynamo Kiev at the Goodison Park next week.
The 2015 Afcon best player has failed to replicate his superb form he enjoyed in the Eredivisie with Vittesse Arnhem last season after making just 4 appearances in the English league for Everton since his loan move from Chelsea.
