Newcastle have stepped up their pursuit of Ghana forward Andrew Ayew following reports he is being engaged in talks by Inter Milan.
The English club were the first to show real interest in signing the 25-year-old but their pursuit seems to have died down in recent months.
Reports in Italy now claims the Toons are back on Ayew’s trail having picked up information of overtures being made by Inter.
The Black Stars player is out of contract at Olympique Marseille at the end of the season.
The French club however remains hopeful of tying him down to a renewal with Andre’s father Abedi Pele – a Marseille legend – traveling to France to hold talks with the club.
