Let’s go! Dede scores then urges Marseille to maintain momentum

Andre Ayew was ecstatic after scoring in Olympique Marseille’s 6-1 thumping of Toulouse away from home in the French top flight football league on Friday evening, their first victory since his arrival from the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

‘An away win, it feels good. It was long. We hope it will be the beginning of a beautiful series. For that, you have to win next week at home to Lyon. We will be well prepared for that,’ Ayew said after the game.

But Ayew who scored for the third time in his four league games since arriving from finishing runner-up with Ghana in Equatorial Guinea is adamant his side must shift focus immediately to next week’s top of the table clash against Ligue 1 leaders, Olympique Lyon.

The 25 year old is keen for Marcelo Bielsa’s side to launch a winning run on the back of the spectacular result at Toulouse.

‘There are nights like that where we have success. Let’s hope it hard. For us to continue to do the job,” the son of Abedi Pele cautioned.

“There has always been the desire by the team, even when the results were not there. It’s always been the same OM since the beginning of the season,’ Ayew continued.

Dede summed up: ‘Only, it was technical and tactical errors that cost us in the past. But this evening Toulouse has not make use of their opportunities, unlike us’.
