Egyptian referees to officiate Ghana – SA match


Mbour, (Senegal), Mar. 7, GNA – The Confederation of African Football (CAF), has appointed an Egyptian referee to handle the African Youth Championship (AYC), match involving Ghana and South Africa.

Ibrahima Nouri El Din will take charge of the match, Group B’s opener to be played at the Mbour Stadium.

El Din will be assisted on the lines by Olivier Safari Kabane and Ababacar Sene from the Democratic Republic of Congo and Senegal respectively.

Another Senegalese, Daouda Gueye will be the fourth official with Salim Tourgui from Comoros will be the Match Commissioner.

Ghana is chasing a fourth continental glory at the biannual gathering of eight teams.

The tournament serves the qualifiers for Africa’s four representatives for the next FIFA World Youth Championship in New Zealand in May.
