Ghanaian international Rashid Sumaila was on target for club side Al Qadsia as they overcame 7th-placed Sulaibikhat in the Kuwaiti league on Saturday.
The 22-year old was on hand to net a goal in the 82nd minute to put Qadsia in a comfortable position after Danijel Subotic had given them a first half lead.
After the Sulaibikhat defence failed to clear a free kick into their box, Sumaila -who found himself in what looked like an offside position- had all the time in the world to place the bal beyond the goalkeeper’s reach.
Bade Al Mutawa added a third from the penalty spot to seal a comfortable win for Qadsia, thus securing their 4th win on the bounce and solidifying their third place position on the log.
Sumaila’s goal is his second in all competitions for Al Qadsia, after joining the club on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns.
