Some irate youth of Nsorkor in the Tain District of the Brong Ahafo Region today boycotted the Independent Day celebrations in the district.
The youth blocked all roads leading to a town called Seikwa where the celebration was held.
Speaking to Classic Radio’s reporter Agya Owusu, the youth said they were forced to block the roads because they claim the District Chief Executive of the area, Jones Tawiah, moved the ceremony to Siekwa instead of the usual place, Nsorkor.
They accused the DCE of doing nothing to arrest the harsh economic conditions in the area adding that all amenities and developmental works are being sent to Seikwa.
