AYC 2015 : Ex-Senegal star Khalilou Fadiga named tournament ambassador

Ex-Senegal midfielder Khalilou Fadiga was appointed ambassador of the 19th edition of the African Nations Championship.

Fadiga was unveiled in the capital Dakar on Thursday.

The 2015 African Youth Championship will run from 8-22 March in Dakar and Mbour with eight teams involved.

Fadiga, 40, was a member of Senegal 2002 World Cup team and went on to play for Inter Milan, Bolton Wanderers and Germinal Beershot.

Senegal have not hosted a major football tournament since the 1992 Africa Cup of Nations.
