Royal visit: The players are grateful Otumfuo tells Opoku Nti

The owner and life patron of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei II paid a visit to the club on Wednesday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

During the visit he [Otumfou] thanked General Manager of the club, Opoku Nti on behalf of Kotoko players after he visited the team.

‘My grandchildren are grateful,’ the Asantehene said to Opoku Nti moments after separately meeting the players.

Communications Manager of the club, Kwaku Ahenkorah who briefed the media on the visit, disclosed that, the Asantehene Nana interacted with the players on their performance and other relevant issues after which he lauded Opoku Nti for his management of affairs especially in these trying moments.

‘He met the players separately. They had hearty discussions and following that, the players promised Nana that, they will work hard to turn things around immediately,’ said Kwaku Ahenkorah.

The players relayed to Nana how well the leadership of the club has handled matters concerning their welfare and other issues, a situation which obviously led to Opoku Nti being praised, said the Communications Manager.
