‘Golden Boy’ Abdul Karim Razak on Wednesday won his first trophy in Sudan with Al Margani, just six days after his appointment.
The former Stade De Malian boss was appointed coach of the newly promoted side after declining to sign a contract with a Qatari club after staying with them for almost two months.
Having inherited an inexperienced side promoted into the Sudanese topflight, Coach Razak won his first trophy after beating Al Hilal Kaduguli 2-1 in a local area Championship game.
Placed seventh on the 15-team table, Coach Razak has won 2 matches, drawn 2 and lost one in the Sudanese league32.
Golden Boy, as he is affectionately called, won the first Premier League trophy for Kumasi Asante Kotoko in 2003, after he had propelled Stade De Malien of Mali to greater heights.
