Focused: Opare wary of Club Brugge threat in Europa League

Ghanaian international Daniel Opare is wary of the threat that Club Brugge will pose to Besiktas’ Europa League challenge.

The two sides will battle for a place in the next round after they were drawn against each other in the 1/16th stage of the competition.

“I’m a defender; I’m a right-back, but I can also play as a left-back. If I play left-back, I only changed my playing style a bit”, Opare said.

“When I came to Besiktas I got a lot of love, now it’s time to give something back. We must take Club Brugge seriously.

“I’ve played a few times against Club Brugge. They hae good players. They want the ball constantly and always want tow win. They have lost a number of players, they have enough quality in house to form a good team.

“Vazquez is a major player. His passing is dangerous. They have some of these players in their team, and they fight like us.

“I think we are a good team. We must keep our concentration and we can achieve good results”

Club Brugge and Besiktas will come face to face in the first leg of their tie on 12th March in Belgium.
