Ghanaian player Mubarak Wakaso finally managed to get some playing minutes under his belt for his Scottish club Celtic on Wednesday night.
The Black Stars player who put in a series of good performances at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations for his international side struggled to make the Celtic team upon his return from a tournament which his Ghana side placed second.
Wakaso however was given 45 minutes of playing time on Wednesday night when his Celtic side entertained St. Johnstone in the Scottish Premier League.
The Ghanaian replaced Adam Matthews after the first half interval in a game that saw Wakaso’s side lose at home to a single goal.
Daniel Swanson grabbed the winner for away side St. Johnstone eight minutes after the first half break to claim all three points from their hosts.
The defeat for Celtic ended the team’s run of eight victories in the Scottish Premier League.
