Ghana’s award-winning sensational Afro-pop musician Rebecca Acheampong aka Becca is reported to have ended her 10-year agreement with her manager Kiki Banson of EKB Records, a relationship which has not been a smooth one over the years.
Per the information published by ghanacelebrities.com, Kiki Banson confirmed the split saying “everything that has a beginning must come to an end, and it is one of those things”.
Becca and Kiki Banson journeyed through a rocky path starting from the onset of their working relationship when she withdrew from TV3’s Mentor 2 musical contest for being tested for HIV without her knowledge. She subsequently sued the television station with Kiki’s backing.
The ‘You Lied to Me’ singer and Kiki Banson were also in the news when Becca’s father decided to disown her for planning to marry none other than her manager Kiki.
It was reported that Kiki Banson had divorced his wife to marry Becca and her father swore never to allow the alleged union. The confrontation became a media war between the father and manager of the then 27-year-old Becca.
None had come out to confirm the allegations and both parties were reported to have fallen out due to the scandals but only put up an artificial rapport for the cameras.
