Parliament asks gov’t to hold on with Interconnect Clearing Policy

The Parliamentary Select Committee on Communications has asked the Ministry of Communications to do more consultations before proceeding with plans to implement the Interconnect Clearing House policy.

In a letter signed by Albert Abongo NDC MP for Bongo in the Upper East Region, who isĀ also the Committee Chairman, the Committee called for “extension of time for the consultation process with stakeholders”.

Depending on the outcome of the consultations with stakeholders, it may well be that the Interconnect Clearing House may not be implemented at all.
