THE NATIONAL Democratic Party (NDP) wants to see the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) voted out of political power in 2016 in order to save the country and its people from further suffering.
The NDP has therefore appealed passionately to Ghanaians, notably those who desire to see Ghana as a better country, to use their thumbs to vote against the ‘non-performing NDC government’ in 2016.
A top notch of the NDP, Ernest Owusu Bempah, who made the call in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital, sternly cautioned that there was no better future for Ghana with the NDC in control of political power.
According to him, mismanaging the affairs of the state and deepening the socio-economic hardship of the people is the stock in trade of the NDC administration, stressing the need for the NDC to be voted out of power.
Addressing scores of charged NDP activists and sympathisers during the recent ‘Yabre’ demonstration in Kumasi, Owusu Bempah, who is noted for his outspokenness, urged Ghanaians to blame the NDC government for making life unbearable for them.
He noted that the significant gains that the NPP government secured for the country during its eight years in office had been depleted due to lack of vision and proper planning by President Mahama and the NDC.
According to him, there is no success story to tell Ghanaians under the NDC administration, rather than the hardship the citizenry have been plunged into since the NDC assumed the mantle of leadership.
Owusu Bempah entreated the electorate to ‘spit fire’ on Mahama and the NDC for plunging the country into a state of hopelessness.
Sounding confident, the NDP strong man stressed that whether President Mahama liked it or not, the electorate would vote the NDC administration out in 2016. He said the NDP had realized the suffering of Ghanaians therefore the young political party would go to the length and breadth of the country to campaign to ensure that the citizenry showed the NDC the exit.
Owusu Bempah, who looked very charged, descended heavily on Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the NDC General Secretary, lambasting him for wearing his wife’s winter jacket to an international assignment in Germany.
According to him, Asiedu Nketia’s behaviour had disgraced Ghanaians to the outside world, stressing that the matter is a serious one so the populace should not treat it lightly. ‘We should condemn him for that bad action,’ he challenged.
