Hours after making headlines with his controversial comments surrounding the management of state sporting facilities, the Western Regional Sports Development officer, Beresford Amui’s residence has been razed by fire.
Mr.Amui’s residence, located at Sekondi Ridge and owned by the National Sports Authority was reported ablaze sometime around 13:30 and by the time of the arrival of Allsports.com.gh at the location, the entire residence of Mr.Amui had been consumed by the fire.
A despondent Mr.Amui told Allsports.com.gh he had lost everything he had in the fire as fire officers struggled to quench the fire.
Mr Amui has been in the headlines after his statement on radio that he would rather host parties and funerals at the Essipong Stadium which he manages rather than football matches because they brought in greater revenue.
