The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo, has cut a sod at a brief ceremony held at Ogbojo in the Adentan Municipality for the construction of the first phase of a two-storey 20 bed capacity modern polyclinic.

The minister performed the sod cutting early last week when he embarked on an official tour of the municipality.

The first phase of the project, which is expected to be completed after 12 months, is valued at GHยข68, 721.01 and funded by the World Bank through the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development’s (MLGRD) Local Government Capacity Support Project (LGCSP).

Mr Afotey-Agbo also commissioned a health post at Adjiringanor and a six-unit classroom block for the AdMa Basic School in Sraha.

The minister, who also held meetings with the staff of the assembly and traditional authorities within the municipality, called for team spirit among all the institutions.

He reminded members of staff of the assembly that they are accountable to the people and should work hard enough to support the assembly to reach its goals.
