Twisted ankle: Injured Donsah faces a week out

Teenage sensation, Godfred Donsah has spoken and revealed the details of the injury that rocked him on Sunday afternoon in Serie A.

Donsah’s afternoon was cut short after only ten minutes of the Italian top flight game against his former club amid fears that the 18 year old could be headed for the sidelines for many weeks.

But the wonderkid has shrugged aside any worries about a lengthy spell outside the Caglisri side he has broken into under the tutelage of Giafranco Zola.

‘All is well. I just had a twisted ankle,” Donsah revealed to Goal.com.

‘I think I’m facing a week out,’ the youngster added upon confirmation by Cagliari team doctors.

The teenager has risen to become the talk of Serie A following his string of impressive displays for Cagliari this term, alerting many of Europe’s biggest clubs on a wild goose chase for his signature.

Last week, English Premier League champions, Manchester City as well as Arsenal sent scouts to go and watch Donsah play against Inter Milan in a Serie A tie whilst Tottenham Hotspurs already made an effort to sign him during the January transfer window.

“There’s lots of interest in Donsah as of now especially from clubs in UK. Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal have made official enquiries about him. Until now they are scouting him and there’s nothing concrete,” said Oliver Arthur, agent of Donsah.
