Start In Ghana Investment Ltd has awarded the Nigerian High Commissioner to Ghana Ademola Oluseyi Onafowokan for helping to promote business relations between the two countries.

The envoy, receiving the award, praised former Ghanaian presidents J.J Rawlings, J.A Kufour, Atta Mills, as well as President John Mahama for significantly promoting relations between the two countries.

He dedicated the award titled, ‘Ademola, the portrait f Ghana-Nigeria relations,’ to the good people of Nigeria.

On his part, the CEO of the Start In Ghana Investment Ltd, Yahaya Alhassan, said Nigeria are the best of friends in trade and everything and urged the Ghanaian mobile phone dealers to compete favourably with their Nigerian counterparts and not engage in blame game.

‘We have come a long way, we have passed the notorious era of 1969 and 1983,” he said.

While Nigerians have lived and worked in Ghana, the same can be said of the countless Ghanaians living and working in Nigeria, he said.

Mr Alhassan thanked the High Commissioner, the Nigerian community and businesses people in Ghana, notably Aliko Dangote, Chief Okwe Okwe, Alhaji Ganiyu Lawal of Galco Ltd, Mallam Dasuiki, Samni Longe of IES, etc for their good works for mother Ghana.
