General Secretary of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Mr. Abass Bah, is in Ghana on a familiarization visit to the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Mr. Bah who arrived in Accra over the weekend, is in Ghana to study the operations of the GFA as part of the objectives of Gambia’s newly elected football executives to develop their human resource and other areas of the game.

“I am here to learn the best practices that the Ghana Football Association is doing in their football development and also because our two countries share the same official language and share a lot in common. In Gambia, we see Ghana as the success story when it comes to football”.

“In my two weeks stay here, I will study the GFA’s Administrative systems to understand how it operates in terms of managing football.”

“ I will work in the competitions department, technical department and will also look at the various FIFA Goal Projects to see how Ghana manages the FIFA Goal Projects they have received so that we can emulate Ghana’s example”, Mr. Bah told Ghanafa.org after his meeting with GFA General Secretary Mr. Emmanuel Gyimah.

He also reiterated the Gambian Football Federation’s gratitude for the role the GFA’s Technical Director Oti Akenteng played in helping them restructure their technical department.

“He was there to train our coaches for the CAF license because most of our coaches didn’t have that”, he added.

Mr. Bah will end his familiarization visit to the GFA on March 13 and return to assume his administrative duties in Gambia.
