Fulfill promises: Son of the late Kanewu accuses Hearts of neglect

Richard Adusei Sackey has complained about how Hearts of Oak have left his family to their own fate despite the several promises given them, after the death of his father Kweku Adusei Kanewu, a former PRO of the National Chapters Committee of the club.

Kweku Adusei kanewu, who was an outspoken member of the Phobian fraternity passed on in August 2013 and left behind 7 children and a wife.

According Richard Adusei Sackey, the eldest son of Kanewu, who is a footballer, the Hearts of Oak family promised to see his career through and also offer his family some financial assistance, but all these are not forth coming.

‘Hearts of Oak management and supporters promised to offer me a helping hand in my quest to get to the top in my chosen career as a footballer, because I am the only son of my father who is into football, he told Asempa fm.

‘They also promised to offer financial help, after my father’s dead, but it is only Ali Phobia who sees to our welfare. The rest have neglected us and when I had the chance to speak to Hon Ali a former Ashanti Regional Circles Chairman, he told me the club can’t decide to look after all the children of their dead members.

‘I promised my dad to let his name remain in Ghana football and I will do whatever is possible to let it come to pass.’
