Though he has been in the music industry for four years, SlimWiz has not been able to make a strong impact with his works but it looks like that is about to change.

With the release of his latest single Badder Than, SlimWiz intends to re-announce his presence on the Ghanaian music scene. Badder Than, an Afropop song which praises people who have excelled in society is already enjoying appreciable airplay and the young artiste is happy about it.

In an interview with Showbiz last Friday, SlimWiz expressed his appreciation to radio DJs for giving his song some attention, “I am getting a little attention and I am happy about it, at least I am heading in the right direction.”

Before Badder Than, SlimWiz had released Emotional Something and Tonight and he hopes to drop a fourth single, Halima next week. Even before its release, SlimWiz believes Halima is going to be an instant hit.

“A lot of effort went into it and I know it is going to be a massive hit, everyone will just fall in love with the song, he said.”

This reporter hopes that Halima will be an improvement of Badder Than which does not score very high points in terms of lyrical content and instrumentation. Badder Than was produced by We are GhG.

Real name David Ewan, SlimWiz is a Level 400 student of Ghana Telecom University College reading Banking and Finance. Combining his studies with music must require relentless efforts but the young Nigerian says it is not a big deal for him and as he puts it, ‘’music is what I do best.”

He describes himself as an Afro Pop, R&B and HipHop artistes whose role models in the industry are Jessie Jags and Ice Prince, both Nigerians. He says the two inspire him a lot and he hopes to be as successful as they are.

SlimWiz is on the Gymoff Hit Factory label and his Executive Producer is Kwame Nsiah-Wiafe.

His message to his fans is, “look out for me, I’ll keep making you happy with my songs so expect a lot more from me.”
