Microsoft Mobile Devices draws Lumia activation promotion

Microsoft Mobile Devices, manufacturer of the Lumia range of smartphones has held the maiden lifetime promotion draw to pick the first winner of its Make It Happen promotion.  

The promotion which was launched in December last year, is one of several the global electronic giant has planned to show appreciation to its customers. The promo, which seeks to stimulate the Lumia 535 activation campaign in Ghana and is also aimed at rewarding customer loyalty, will go further to excite lovers of its Lumia range of phones.

Mr. Jordan Patterson who entered twice in the promotion was the lucky winner of the maiden edition and is now the proud owner of  a brand new Hyundai i10.

Mr. Patterson who initially could not believe the news burst into jubilation when the officials read out his details to him via telephone in the presence of the media during the draw.

To participate in the promotion, customers are required to purchase a Lumia 535 from accredited Microsoft agents across the country to qualify them to enter the draw with code numbers of the mobile handsets.

Multiple participation increases the chances of customers to win the ultimate prize.

The draw which was conducted electronically had officials of the National Gaming Commission supervising it.

Speaking  to the media after  the draw, Business Development Manager of Microsoft Devices and Services, Kola Osinowo explained that the promotion was to reward cherished customers for supporting and growing the Lumia brand in Ghana.

He said, the increased usage of the Lumia smartphones confirms its acceptance in Ghana. He therefore promised that  Microsoft  will continue to reward its valued customers.

Mr Osinowo pointed out that the company has previously offered six of its customers all expense paid trips to Singapore and given out 12 cars to customers in Nigeria, adding that “so we can do more things to express appreciation to our customers in Ghana”.

Mr  Osinowo  further urged the public to participate in the promo by purchasing a Lumia 535 or any other Lumia product and to SMS the keyword ‘LUMIA’ with their NAME and IMEI number to 1732 to get the opportunity of winning one of the 5 cars on offer from now to March 31, 2015.
