Home-sweet-home: Hearts of Oak arrive in Ghana from Benin

Accra Hearts of Oak arrived in Accra on Sunday at around 4:00pm  after playing out a goalless draw game with AS Police in Benin in the second leg fixture of the CAF Confederation Cup on Saturday.

The Phobians go through the next stage of the competition with a 1-0 aggregate scoreline after a splendid performance in Benin capital Cotonou. Hearts goalkeeper, Soulama Abdoulaye was the hero of the day after saving a 28th minute penalty.

The 30 man contingent comprising of 20 players, 6 technical men and 4 officials led by a delegation from the Ghana Football Association Executive Committee Member, Mr Eddy Doku returned safely in Ghana’s capital after 7 hours drive from Benin.

Hearts of Oak after sealing their qualification into the next stage of the competition will now face Senegalese side Olympique de Ngor two weeks later in Senegal in the first leg game.
