Father of twins: Bright Addae jets in to welcome new baby boys

Italy based midfielder, Bright Addae arrived in the country last night to congratulate his wife for giving birth to a set of twins last week, and to also personally welcome the new members of his burgeoning family.

Addae’s wife, Emilia gave birth to the couple’s second and third children, all boys last Wednesday and even though the husband was not scheduled to arrive in Ghana till at the end of the season in May, unplanned circumstances paved the way for the U-20 World Cup winner to show up in town just days after the arrival of his new boys.

Addae who has metamorphosed from a defender into a midfielder for Italian side, Ascoli Picchio received his 4th yellow card of the 2014/15 Lega Pro campaign in Friday’s 1-0 win at Pisa, meaning he will be suspended for his promotion chasing side’s next league game against Lucchese on Sunday March 8.

So his club gave him four days to come and visit his wife and kids, Addae wasting to time at all in flying into Ghana on Sunday night beaming with smiles all over.

“Now I have three boys so I have one defender, one midfielder and one striker, it’s a huge football family and we’ll soon take over from Abedi Pele,” an obviously elated Addae told Allsports.com.gh exclusively on arrival at the Kotoka International Airport.

“Helping my club get promoted is very important to me but I’m here now for my family and will be going back just on Wednesday. Let me enjoy my time with my wife and kids now, they are my life,” Addae shrugged aside any talk about his club career. Follow @thedonplato
