Disappointing: Kwesi Appiah’s Khartoum eliminated from Confed Cup

There was massive disappointment in the CAF Confederations Cup gor former Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah as his club Al Khartoum were eliminated from the competition.

Al  Khartoum went into their second leg game against Dynamos needing at least a draw to progress, but sucumbed to a 2-0 loss that sees them exit the tournament.

Coach Kwesi Appiah had made it one of his main targets to do well in the competition, and this loss will come as a massive blow to him.

The first black man to qualify and lead Ghana to the FIFA World Cup was signed by Al Khartoum at the end of last year to not only help them break the dominance of domestic giants, Al Hilal  and Al Merreikh but also champion their dreams in Africa’s second tier club competition.
