Grant With Staff

Black Stars Management Committee Chairman, George Afriyie has revealed that Ghana Coach Avram Grant has not yet requested for any change to the back-room staff of the senior national team.

Shortly after working with Maxwell Konadu at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, media reports stated that the Israeli trainer had asked for a new Assistant Coach.

“With the changes to the backroom staff of the Black Stars, the Coach indicated before his appointment that he will first want to work with them and know whether he will need to upgrade their level of competence,” Mr. Afriyie told Starr FM.

“If he thinks that if there is somebody there that he cannot work with, then he will make recommendations to the management team. Now, we have not received any such thing so we stick to what we have,” he added.

Avram Grant will jet into Accra this weekend to watch some Premier League matches in midweek before flying into Senegal to provide technical supervision to Black Stars Coach Sellas Tetteh at the 2015 Africa Youth Championship.
