FIFA rule: Black Stars friendly against Nigeria cancelled understands the proposed friendly match between rivals Ghana and Nigeria has been cancelled.

The game which was planned for London on March 29 was cancelled after FIFA rejected the game on the basis of its new rule.

The Nigeria Football Federation announced that the highly anticipated clash with the Black Stars of  Ghana was scheduled for March 29, three days after playing South American team Bolivia on March 26.

The new FIFA directive rules out two games across two continents in three days.

Nigeria are currently working on another friendly in Africa on March 29 after world’s football governing body FIFA failed to approve the Ghana game in London.

Nigeria who won the 2013 edition of the Africa Cup of Nations are looking to rebuild following their failure to represent at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations which Cote d’Ivoire won on a penalty shootout against Ghana.
