Godwin Attram has pleaded with all soccer loving fans to stop destructive criticisms directed at returnees to the Ghana Premier League (GPL).
The ex-international, who began his topflight club football with Accra Gt. Olympics, has made a U-turn to his former club, following several years of football abroad.
However, he is worried about the attitude of the local fans towards footballers, when they return from overseas to contribute their quota to the league and has therefore called for their support.
‘I am calling on all followers of football to welcome us back to the league because we have a lot to offer.
‘Immediately some fans hear of the return of players, who once played in the local league, then they begin to cast all kinds of insults on them, forgetting that such players have vast experience that could help promote the league,’ Attram said.
The Wonder club Accra Gt. Olympics have strengthened their team with the inclusion of Dan Quaye and Richard Kingston, who have also returned to help their boyhood club.
