Founder of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Madam Akua Donkor, has urged the President to address the nation in Twi instead of English.
The female politician said that would be much easier for people to acknowledge the good works of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.
“…I understood everything said in here because of the pictures that were shown during the presentation…but you see that is why I have always advocated that everything should always be done in Twi for us to appreciate better…,” she said in response to question on whether she understood the State of the Nation Address delivered in English.
Madam Akua Donkor who was seated in the public gallery of the Parliamentary chamber intermittently shouted with joy on seeing images of completed and artist impression of projects.
She argued that she cannot agree with persons who claim the president has not performed to the expectation of Ghanaians.
“I have been going round with the president to commission several projects including the Mampong and Ejura projects and I can say the president has done well….”
Despite commending the president for performing well, she said she would still contest as flag bearer of her party, GFP in 2016.
