Originally known as Emmanuel Nana Appiah, Kontihene is an award-winning musician who has been a key figure in the Ghanaian music industry since the release of his smash hit, Aketesia, in the early 2000s. Kontihene, also affectionately called Ohene, recently released a track by the name of “Dedeede” just in time for Valentine’s Day, and it’s set to rule the airwaves and attract the attention of Ghanaians.
Shockingly, on the 26th of February, 2015, Kontihene was involved in a severe car road accident. In an interview with Carmudi Ghana, carmudi.com.gh, the artist told the automotive expertise website that he was on his way to a local radio station to promote “Dedeede” and when his late model Lexus was hit by a large bus. Carmudi.com.gh identified this as the same car in which he was spotted at the Ghana Dj Awards. The accident damaged the left rear bumper and tail light, but fortunately the award winner, Kontihene, survived from minor injury and he said will be fine still continue his good work.
