#sotnghana: focus on other national teams too – mahama directs gfa


President John Dramani Mahama has called on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to pay some more attention on the other national teams, just like it does for the Black Stars.

“Let me urge the Ghana Football Association to put a lot more focus on the other national teams…; in other to adequately prepare them for their international competitions as well,” he said.

Speaking during the state of the nation at parliament on Thursday, President Mahama also noted that the development of sports infrastructure is progressing “speedily”.

“On the development of sports infrastructure, Mr. Speaker,  I am happy to inform you that work is progressing speedily on the Cape Coast stadium and is expected to be completed this year (2015).”

He further mentioned that government will partner with cooperate institutions to support the programs of the various sporting associations this year.
