Quick return: Elvis Manu makes injury comeback

Dutch football giants Feyenoord have received a major boost in their efforts to win the UEFA Europa League with the return of Dutch born Ghaian striker Elvis Manu.

Manu was expected to be sidelined until March but the 21-year-old has been declared fit to face Italian giants AS Roma in the knockout round of the Europa League in Rotterdam on Thursday.

Manu confirmed his quick return to AD: ‘I have been back sooner than expected. The medical staff had promised me that I would be out for at least six weeks to eight weeks after my surgery in January. But I am back in five weeks.’

‘I was very happy with it. It is like liberation for me. The rhythm is gone and the weather is just finding strongholds. But all returns. Hopefully, Thursday against AS Roma I will play.’

Feyenoord held AS Roma to a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Italy.
