Barely four days after the tragic death of an unknown man inside the Akufo Addo Circle at Cantonments near the Togo Embassy, carried by DAILY GUIDE on Monday, February 23, 2015, the parents of the deceased have popped up, claiming he is their son.
Speaking to DAILY GUIDE , John Tei Senaki, head of the family, identified the deceased as Richard Kotei who lived in the family house at La, a suburb of Accra.
Mr Senaki continued that Richard Kotei, 39, is the second born among four siblings, a professional driver and has two children.
He indicated that the deceased was a healthy young man and hardly complained of any health challenges, adding that jogging was his regular pastime on weekends.
The head of the delegation was full of praise to the DAILY GUIDE for the publication.
He said they had contacted a number of relations and the friends of the deceased on his whereabouts until a family member phoned in yesterday afternoon informing them that he had seen his picture as a corpse carried in the DAILY GUIDE .
He continued that he personally went to a vendor nearby to purchase a copy of the DAILY GUIDE and was shocked to find his son dead on a stretcher in the Police Hospital mortuary, Accra.
