Asante Kotoko striker, Ahmed Toure has expressed strong believe about his side’s performance ahead of Berekum Chelsea clash in Berekum on match day 9 of the ongoing league season on Wednesday.
The Kumasi based club have not been faring well in the ongoing season.
Kotoko is yet to record a win in their last three games. But the Ivorian import has positively said he is optimistic of the club will outperform their opponent.
‘I’m optimistic of the club’s performance ahead of our league game against Berekum Chelsea but before playing our hearts out we need an unconditional and total support from the club’s supporters, though they are disappointed with our recent performance,’ Ahmed Toure said.
Toure admitted the unimpressive performance on the part of the team in the ongoing season – ‘The team has not been impressive enough in terms of our goal scoring ability but I want to assure all the club supporters that the team is doing its best to come back on track, training very hard to win our match against Berekum Chelsea and I hope to score goal at Berekum.
He further added that – ‘I want to reassure the supporters of Asante Kotoko that things will be much better at the end of Berekum Chelsea’s game.’
Asante Kotoko is currently placed at the 12th position on the league table with 9 points in 8 league games, won 2, lost 3 and drawn 3.
