Accra, Feb. 25, GNA – Mr Henry O. Akwaboah, Board Member of Association Oil Marketing Companies (AOMC), has called on Oil Marketing Companies to introduce industrial innovations in order to maintain global standards in the petroleum sector in the country.
He said the wave of world economic integration and information explosion coupled with Ghana’s discovery and production of petroleum product in commercial quantities have changed the dynamics of OMC operations in the country.
Mr Kwaboah told the Ghana News Agency in an interview during the product launch of ENGEN Ghana Limited’s new products into the Ghanaian Oil Marketing industry – Dynamic Diesel, Primax, Extreme 5 w 40, Syntium 5 w 40, Readymix Coolant, and Engen 1Card.
Mr Akwaboah, who launched the products explained: ‘Customers expect the most from every tank; want more power, extra kilometres and extended engine life.
‘After extensive research we set out to develop fuels that would not only satisfy all our customers’ requirements but exceed them’.
He said some industrial players had made motorists to believe that they needed to choose between fuel that satisfied performance and fuel that met demands of the economy.
‘Now with Engen Primax Unleaded, you can have both so whatever you drive, fill up with new Engen Primax Unleaded, ‘he said.
‘Available in both 93 and 95 octane, its tailor-made intelligent technology offers you superior performance and more kilometres per tank – making it the most intelligent fuel,’ he said.
‘Engen Primax Unleaded is the most intelligent fuel currently available. It adapts to your driving needs, combining enhanced performance and fuel economy’.
Mr Akwaboah, who is also the Managing Director of ENGEN Ghana, noted that the technologically advanced additive pack also included a new generation detergent that cleaned and improved the car’s engine as the organic combustion provided more complete combustion of the fuel.
He said the new friction modifier reduced friction in the engine and improved lubricity to ensure energy efficiency and better fuel economy.
The new technology was specially designed for newer engines that operated at higher temperatures, but was equally effective on older vehicles, he said.
On the ENGEN One Card, Mr Akwaboah noted that is at the forefront of convenience, security and control and eliminates the need to carry or issue bundles of cash or vouchers paying for services will be quick and hassle free.
