‘I came here to put smiles on the faces of the fans,” Chritian Atsu told Everton’s official website.
The on-loan Toffees is eager to entertain and put a smile on fans’ faces. Atsu signed for Everton from Chelsea in the summer but has failed to make a big impact at Goodison Park since he joined.
The pacey winger made a lively cameo in the 2-2 drew with Leicester City on the weekend and delivered the cross which resulted in the late equaliser for Everton.
Atsu created two chances in his 35 minutes on the pitch against Leicester. He is convinced he can carry on his fine form in the African Cup of Nations, where he was awarded with player and goal of the tournament.
‘At the start things were not going as well but after the AFCON I am full of confidence and ready to give my best to the team,’ he added.
The Chelsea loanee has only four appearances for the club and has only started one of them.
