Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder, Larbi Koomson is set to return to the Porcupine Warriors set up after his long injury lay off. The player has started gym works and is currently trying to keep fit.
The former Medeama SC middleman sustained a serious knee injury last year September during Asante Kotoko pre-season friendlies and he was put under the knife, sidelining him for 6 months.
Larbi Koomson since joining Asante Kotoko from Medeama last season has been one of the highly rated players but injury has eluded him this season.
The 25 year old midfielder in an interview with Allsports.com.gh said he feels elated as he nears full fitness.
‘I’m happy to be inching closer to full fitness, since I started gym and pool work there is much improvement so Kotoko fans should expect me on the field soon because it pains me to see the current performance of the team but I hope everything will be okay in due time. I want to thank the Management of Kotoko for being there for me during and after surgery,’ he said.
Larbi Koomson added that – ‘The fans of Asante Kotoko shouldn’t get despaired about the current misfortunes of the club, they must support the team and I believe Kotoko will defend the league title.’
