Hearts engage Aduana in a must win encounter

Accra, Feb. 24, GNA – Hearts of Oak will engage Aduana Stars in a must-win encounter in the week-nine fixtures of the First Capital Plus Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.

Herbert Addo’s team, fast sinking in the relegation zone on the log will need to pick up the pieces as they battle an in-form Aduana side to keep their competition in the league alive.

Hearts at the weekend lost 0-1 at Heart of Lions to further deepened the cracks in the set-up and without a doubt require something out of the ordinary to overcome their opponents who have proved fine travellers this term.

Hearts have won twice, drawn twice and lost four times in eight outings and are in a desperate search to whip their campaign in order.

Coach Addo is expected to employ the services of Gilbert Fiamenyo, Selasi Adjei, Robin Gnange for the mid-week assignment while staying weary of Aduana’s duo of Godfred Saka and forward Richard Arhin, who are instrumental to the visitors.

In another intriguing clashes, Berekum Chelsea will host unimpressive defending champions Asante Kotoko at the Golden City Park, whereas league leaders AshantiGold welcome Lions to the Len Clay Stadium at Obuasi.

Elsewhere at the Tarkwa T&A Park, Medeama SC will lock horns with Liberty Professionals whereas at the Tema Park, Inter Allies welcome bottom club Brong Ahafo United.

Other ties will witness Bechem United play Accra Great Olympics at the Bechem Park, West Africa Football Academy (WAFA), slug it out with New Edubiase United at Sogakope, and Wa All Stars lying in the relegation zone battle it out with fourth placed Sekondi Hasaacas at the Wa Park.
