Frytol engages consumers via integrated campaign

Accra, Feb. 24, GNA – Management of Wilmar Africa, producers of Frytol vegetable oil is launching a nationwide integrated consumer activation campaign to further establish the Frytol brand amongst consumers.

The campaign ultimately is aimed to create a love brand.

Mrs Fatima Alimohamed, the General Manager Commercial, Wilmar Africa, told the GNA that November and December 2014 saw the company delivering an unforgettable experience to market women, with their world class ‘Edwomhemaa’ activation.

She said to further build on the brand’s success, additional experiential concepts have been introduced to reach a wider audience.

She said Wilmar’s first activation would commence next week with a 10-week, three part Dumsor campaign.

Ms Alimohamed said the first activation within this campaign would be Tales from Ananse, where a branded Frytol truck would be driven through local communities.

She said this would engage citizens with folktales whilst they enjoy kelewele around a fire.

The second phase is titled ‘Anopa, Awia ne Enyumre’ meaning (Morning, Afternoon and Evening), where the public would be entertained via engaging them in an oware tournament.

She said the company would host ‘Dinner in the Dark’, where 50 members of the public and the press would have the chance to win tickets to dine in the dark at Ghana’s premier 5 star Labadi Beach hotel.

‘Frytol is a brand that is intertwined with our heritage and believes that there is positivity in everything that happens, since it is a brand tied to every home,’ she added.
