Chelsea to ‘Pee’ in Kotoko’s Pool


The tumultuous week of champions, Asante Kotoko may continue on Wednesday as they make a journey to the Berekum Golden City Park to take on Chelsea in a midweek match of the First Capital Plus Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors despite their array of stars are yet to fashion a breakthrough this season as they have managed just 9 points out of eight matches and surprisingly occupying the twelfth spot on the league ladder.

What is more, Kotoko has unceremoniously pathways with their head coach Mas-ud Didi Dramani, a situation which, according to reports in the local media forced the Asantehene, Otomfuor Osei Tutu to call on the management of the club to reinstate the coach with immediate effect.

Berekum Chelsea on the other hand is lying on the 5th position with 12 points and would be looking to add to the woes of Kotoko at the Golden City Park which used to be a fortress to the Porcupine Warriors years back.

At the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, Hearts of Lions will take a fight to league leaders AshantiGold. The soccer miners are enjoying a very good season as they occupy the top spot with 21 points, five more points than second place Aduana Stars.

Hearts of Lions are third on the table with 14 points and as giant killers as they are known for their uncompromising nature, Lions can pull a surprise at the Len Clay if care is not taken by the leaders.

Hearts of Oak will play as host to Aduana Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium. The 2014/2015 League season has not been an easy road for the Phobians who are currently second from bottom on the table with just 8 points.

Aduana Stars despite suffering from a pre season legal wrangling have put up a spectacular show so far and have managed 16 points and could steal a point from Hearts at their own back yard.

At the Tarkwa T&A Park Medeama Sporting Club will welcome the scientific soccer lads, Liberty Professionals. Both clubs have 11 points, but Medeama is seventh on the ladder due to a superior goal advantage whilst Liberty lies ninth on the table.

Sekondi Hasaacas will travel up north to take on All Stars at the Wa Park. All Stars are yet to warm up into the season haven’t accumulated only 8 points and lying on the fourteenth spot whilst the visitor’s are fourth with 13 points.

New entrant, West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) will welcome New Edubiase United to the Sogakope Park after putting up a good show against Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday. WAFA is eighth on the table with 11 points whiles Edubiase occupies the tenth spot with 10 points.

Soccer wonders, Great Olympics will play as guest to Bechem United at the Bechem Park. The visitors are thirteenth on the log with 9 points whilst Bechem is eleventh with 10 points.

At the Tema Community 3 Park, Inter Allies will take on the Apostles of Ghana football, B.A United. Inter Allies sit on the sixth spot with 11 points whilst B.A United is rooted at the bottom with 7 points.
