Unfortunate: We were unlucky – Abdul Latif Salifu

Berekum Chelsea striker, Abdul Latif Salifu says his side were unlucky to lose to Liberty Professionals at the Karl Reindolf Park on Sunday afternoon.

Abdul Latif Salifu who was facing his former side, led the attack for the blues but could not beat Kwaku in post.

He had glorious opportunities, but failed to convert it.

‘Such is football; we had many chances but we couldn’t score and lost in the last minute which is painful, we look forward to the next game,’ he told  allsports.com.gh  after the game.

‘My performance wasn’t up to what I expected. Looking at the game, I was supposed to score, but sometimes that is how football is, so I will just say that my performance wasn’t up to the task.”

Berekum Chelsea sat back soaking pressure from Liberty Professionals and Salifu said the game plan was to play on the counter.

“Yeah that’s how it was (to play on the counter), but they had four players in the midfield and we had two so anytime we had the ball, (we were outnumbered), and unfortunately we couldn’t score.
