Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila will be in action for Al Qadsia on the commencement of the Asian Federation Cup on Wednesday.

The Yellow Fort will be doing action in Asia’s second tier club competition after being eliminated from the Champions League by Al Ahli at the final hurdle last week.

Al Qadsia have been drawn in Group C of the Asian federation Cup where they will face Ahal FT, FK Istiqiol Dushanbe and Erbil SC.

The Kuwaiti giants will open their campaign on Wednesday at home to Ahal where Rashid Sumaila is expected to feature.

The Ghana defender has been a regular starter since joining Al Qadsia on a five-month loan from South African club Mamelodi Sundowns.
