Police Hold Nigerian For Stealing


Kingsley Chuko, a 30-year-old Nigerian, has been apprehended by the Sakumono District Police Headquarters for stealing an air conditioner.

The culprit, who stays at Sakumono, was said to have broken into the house of his victim who resides in the same area, and made away with the movable air conditioner estimated at about GHยข700.

Chief Superintendent Alex K. Wowolo, the district police commander of the Sakumono area, confirmed to DAILY GUIDE that the suspect at about 6:30 pm on February 19, 2015 broke into the bedroom of the complainant while he (complainant) was in the house.

The complainant, he stated, spotted the suspect moving furtively to pick the movable air conditioner to the outer section of the house.

Chief Superintendent Wowolo continued that the complainant gradually traced the suspect to a drinking spot in the area where he hid the machine.

Kingsley was confronted by the complainant who later raised an alarm and he was arrested with the assistance of some neighbours.

He was handed over to the police, where he admitted stealing the air conditioner from the house, explaining that he wanted to sell it off in order to get to money buy food for himself.

The chief superintendent added the suspect would be arraigned before court as soon investigations were concluded.
