Pizza blue hair: Dominic Oduro to dye hair in Montreal Impact colours

Dominic Oduro recently joined the Montreal Impact from Toronto FC and has vowed to dye his hair the same colour as the club’s kit to show where his loyalties now lie.

The 29-year-old forward was talking to the Montreal Impact YouTube channel and said, ‘I just try to have fun with the hair. The fans love it so why don’t you give the fans what they want.’

It shows that there can be a light-hearted side to the beautiful game, and Oduro is trying his best to get the fans on his side before he’s even kicked a ball in a competitive match for the club.

‘I just try to incorporate the team colours to my hair. When I was in Columbus, it was all yellow. When I was in Toronto, I changed a little bit to red. Now that I’m with the Impact we’re going to go blue obviously, and white and black a little bit, we’re going to mix it up.’

Oduro isn’t sure when exactly he’s going to change it up, but it isn’t too far away. He said, ‘keep watching and the next time you see me on TV it’s not going to be the same. It’s going to be awesome.’

The Ghanaian will need to concentrate on the more serious on-field issues once the 2015 MLS season gets underway as he only managed two goals from 24 appearances at Toronto last year.

Perhaps a new club and new hair colour could be the answer to help him regain form.
