Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Herbert Addo has expressed dissatisfaction with the striking potency of his side after their league game loss to Heart of Lions.
Hearts of Oak started the game with two attackers (Gilbert Fiamenyo and Selasi Adjei) upfront but the duo failed to hit the back of the net. The experienced trainer solely blamed the club’s loss to the strikers inability to convert the chances they had in the game.
‘It was a 50-50 game, we played away, we came attacking, we created the chances but we couldn’t take the chances. Lions came in the second half all out, they had the chance, they utilize it and that was the end of the game, we did everything we couldn’t equalize so it goes to shows if your are playing and you get your chances and you don’t take your chances don’t expect to win matches,” Herbert Addo told the press after the game.
He further added that – ” If Heart of Lions had the chances we had in the first half, I’m sure we will go home with our heads down and even that the game was good, both teams played very well and in the end the team which took its chances won.’
Hearts of Oak in the ongoing season have scored 8 goals in 8 league games and in their last 3 games they have netted only twice.
