DJ Black crowned Ghana’s Best DJ for the third time

Kwadwo Ampofo, popularly known as DJ Black has for three consecutive times crowned the Best DJ in Ghana.

The host of the Open House Party and Weekend Warmer, on Joy FM was on Saturday night adjudged Best DJ of the Year at the Ghana DJ Awards.

DJ Black beat off competition from Hitz FM and Adom FM’s Andy Dosty, DJ Mensah, Nii Ayi Tagoe of Starr FM, DJ Booty Brown, and DJ Collins to win the award this year.

He had previously won the 2013 and 2014 editions of the awards.

Apart from the ultimate award of the night, DJ Black also won Best Male Radio DJ of the Year.

This year’s awards, which took place at the lobby of the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, February 21, witnessed performances from Okyeame Kwame, AK Sonsgtress, Keche, and Vybrant Faya.

Last year, DJ Black was adjudged Africa’s Best DJ at the 2014 Africa Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) in Texas, United States.
